The Guidestar Seal of Approval
June 23, 2012 - Author: Jenelle Taylor, CAI BAS - Comments are closedOutside validation helps your non-profit gain and maintain credibility.
Is your non-profit organization getting all the free exposure you can on national charity registry Guidestar.org? I just learned about these “Valued Partner” badges, and to get one for your org is easy:
- Fill out a very simple Fact Sheet (called the “Basic Nonprofit Report”)
- Adding 1 more step (your choice: Annual Report OR Audit OR GuideStar Basic Financial Statement) is all you need to do to receive the Guidestar Exchange Seal.
Why should you care? Guidestar.org is a central portal with national clout. As stated on their website:
With Millions of people coming to GuideStar to learn more about nonprofit organizations, the GuideStar Exchange allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with GuideStar’s vast on-line audience of grantmakers and individual donors.
